killmail question

I'm pretty ѕurе I killed 2 pods last night. Do the killmails clear after you jump out of system w the rest of the combat logs? Is there any way to recover them if that happens, or do I just fail?

Directorѕ should bе able to recover the killmails through the corporation -> wars menu.
