The big difference M Counts is that with most other religious music or sermons they aren't publicly broadcast across the entire city drowning out everything else going on. Granted I don't know much about Islam, but I do know it's a very restrictive thing where your choices are limited on a lot of subjects, like having to listen to those chants (whatever) daily and continuously.

True, but i stayed in a house near a mosque in Seville for a year and it really didnt bother me. Even with a bad muezzin, i just ignored it. It's their own deal, and I'm cool with that. In a place like Istanbul though, it just adds to the beauty and culture of the place.
Every religion has its benefits and drawbacks. Catholicism has its shady past, Crusades and rather corrupt financial institutions, makes up for it with its amazing architecture (High Gothic comes to mind) and nice hats. Protestant Christianity has its small-minded judgementalism, repression of evolution, and iron-fist running of America, makes up for it by churning out small-minded idiots who are fun as hell to fuck with. Islam has the minaret wailing and that whole extremism thing, but they make up for it with hookahs, hot women(lebanon) and cool architecture.
Even mormons have their good parts - their temple on the DC beltway looks like fucking Oz.
