Everyone should fly an interceptor and a dictor at some point in their eve career just because they are essential to any and every fleet. It annoys me to no end when certain people say they won't fly dictors and then go into a long rant about how they are death traps (because they fucking are), thats fair enough if you have flown dictors before, done your time if you will. But when you've never even set foot in one, you're just a big fucking kill mail whore.
I think more often than not, the rapier, interceptors etc etc support are the first things to go in an enemy fleet, but especially against BRUCE this doesn't really seem to increase the life expectancy of our dictors. Used to be that BRUCE would never warp out at all, which was great because we could get away with not needing our dictors but recently it appears they have which is a disturbing development. Fortunatly for us they are terrible at it so we're still scoring impressive kills.
The real problem will come about when BRUCE get good at warping out, and don't warp about constantly leaving stragglers everywhere.
The apparent suicidal tendancies of our dictors to which I myself am more than guilty, is a problem both to do with FCs and dictor pilots themselves. Recently FCs have been more conservative in havng the dictors bubble the main enemy fleets and will await them warping of or to catch stragglers, which is a good development.
Dictor pilots need to make sure they have all their settings loaded, aren't sitting about to be killed when they aren't needed and basically aren't being stupid. The mentality of "well its gonna die anyway so whatever" is all very well and good if you were born, raised and still live in a spastic institution but its not very useful when we need dictors and you died to a thorax at some planet.
Оvеrall though‚ dictorѕ arе expendable. Thats why theres a replacement program‚ you will get told to ѕuicidе‚ get over it. That and letѕ makе all the new swiggs fly dictors
