Help me suck less in my Sabre
ОK so last night for thе first time I got in a Sabre. Only lvl 4 interdictor. I had it fitted like this:
6x 200mm Autocannon IIs‚ 1 prototype claok II, 1 probe launcher
1 Tech II MWD, 1 20km scram, 1 fleeting web, 1 Medium Shield Extender II
1 overdrive, 1 CPU
1 +agility rig, 1 +speed rig
So I was waiting cloaked on a gate, and someone jumps in. I bubble immediately, and it turns out it is a vengeance with lasers. He looks like he is going for the gate so I go and web him and start wailing on him, but I am clearly losing. I start to pull away to try to orbit at a greater distance, and either his tracking sucked or his range did, because he is doing considerably less damage, but I'm still webed. We both get to about 20% armor and I decide to call it quits because I'm clearly going to lose. I hit overload and get the hell out of there.
So... my question is... should I even bother with AFs? This was a vengeance with lasers... I would of been in a lot more trouble if he had been fitting rockets. Looking at the two ships a vengeance is a lot hardier than a sabre, although it does less DPS. Оr is thеre some strategy/fitting I can use that will allow me to take on AFs? Should I ditch the cloak as it is kind of gimping my setup? Or maybe go for falloff rigs so I can orbit out of web range?
