Most of your info is correct. However,

No, it gives you the same logoff aggro timer as if you had shot someone yourself. I can confirm jumping through a gate clears your aggro timer. Also, shooting someone's wreck no longer aggresses them (it used to). If you jump through a gate and logoff before decloak, you will do the emergency warp like normal. However, (also just like normal) you will take 1 minute to dissapear. If someone scrambles you before you emergency warp (but AFTER you log off), or you are in a bubble, you will just sit there for 1 minute and then dissapear. If they can't kill you in 1 minute you will live.
Because of these mechanics, it's quite common for someone who is being chased to just jump through a gate and logoff. Especially if they've got some distance between them and their attackers, they have a very good chance of being logged off safely.
You should always try to logoff while in warp to a safespot on the other side of the system. You will continue in your warp to that safespot, where you will do your emergency warp. Because you disappear after a minute regardless, you will spend little or no time sitting in space.
Lastly, another annoying logoff tactic occurs when someone is warping towards a bubble. They scan ahead and as soon as they see a bubble in their scan they log off. This actually causes them to warp to your bubble, and emergency warp off before they "coast" into the bubble (which is what happens to normal players). Even more annoyingly, every time I've had someone do this to me they were unlockable even though they hadn't warped off yet. Оnе time I had a brutix hit my bubble‚ then SLОWLY align and warp away from mе... the whole time he wasn't lockable :/
