[RAIDEN. Supercap] Mandatory Supercapital Fittings - Feb 19, 2011
Quote:
Оriginally Postеd by gery zon
This thread is for the official supercapital fits. These fits are what White Noise is using and what they want us to use also. If we don't use them then we don't get reimbursed for losses. So even if they look a bit odd you are much better off using them than not using them‚ do not take the risk of not using them if you want to get reimbursed.
The two key things about them are: 1. passive hardeners instead of active which makes them almost immune to neuts other than damage control what comes to tanking, and the tank is up right from the start when jumping into a system. 2. supercarriers are in turd-type fits and do not even carry regular fighters, jus fighter bombers + spares and sentries. This means they are expected to be deployed a lot against subcapitals. Hels, wyverns and leviathans might be shit out of luck, there are no official WN fits for them.
First a few ship specific comments to clarify the design choices.
Aeon
You will notice that the tank on the aeon is reduced to the level of nyx and fitted for more cap recharge to fuel remote reps. This is a conscious decision since nyxes are the weaker link and do more damage, the tank on the aeon does nothing for the fleet's performance until the fight has been already lost. It also has drone upgrade modules, this is so that they can be used in Turd-like setup against subcapitals.
Nyx
Notable thing about nyx is the lack of specific EM resist module, instead it has one cap power relay in the low which it needs to have any sort of recharge after fitting the drone modules for Turd-fit. EM resist is quite high even without the specific module since it's an armortanker.
Avatar
Avatar fit is quite standard to what people normally use except for the passive tank. Smartbomb, sensor booster, cap power relay and tracking computers can be faction or officer depending on budget.
Erebus
Erebus fit is quite standard to what people normally use except for the passive tank. Smartbomb, sensor booster and tracking computers can be faction or officer depending on budget.
That is the official part which everyone has to be able to match. Next to some upgrade options, really useful extra modules to carry around and allowed modifications. The following is not part of white noise doctrine and make sure you know exactly what you are doing. If in any doubt, ask before doing any modifications.
Aeon
Can use Akemon's modified implant instead of the basic one and upgrade cap rechargers to officer version. Highly recommended that you carry a set of a-type energized membranes plus an extra a-type reactive membrane, the cost is peanuts and they can double your tank against incoming damage in case you get primaried. At a minumum carry an a-type reactive membrane to swap on instead of a cap power relay if needed. In a supercapital fight you could say that most of the damage will be from hostile supercarrier tyrfings and being able to buff your explosive resist is exremely useful. Very little modification is allowed or possible since those drone modules must stay on.
Nyx
Can use Akemon's modified implant instead of the basic one and upgrade cap rechargers to officer versions. Best officer energized membranes can be found occasionally for reasonable prices and they are better than a-types. Highly recommended that you carry an extra a-type reactive membrane for the same reason as aeon. Very little modification is allowed or possible since those drone modules must stay on.
Avatar
Best officer energized membranes can be found occasionally for reasonable prices and they are better than a-types. Can upgrade to officer cap rechargers. By far the best upgrade is to get the new named guns so keep an eye on their prices and get them when they fall low enough for you. Highly recommended that you carry an extra a-type reactive membrane for the same reason as aeon. You are allowed some minor modifications; you may use a heat sink instead of cap power relay, you may have a bridge fitted instead of a smartbomb, you may have 3 tracking computers instead of 2 tracking computers and a sensor booster. Just do not touch the main tank layout.
Erebus
Pretty much the same as avatar, however since you don't have a low slot with cap power relay fitted you can't swap those. Touching the tank and then dying can be expensive so do it only at your own risk. Even though all the tank slots are full already you should still carry a second a-type reactive membrane to replace the reflective membrane if it looks like you are getting pounded by tyrfings.

Read the thread several times. If you have about questions about modifications, ask Gery.

No old fits in super fight anymore. Most of these mods cost less than 200 mil.
Jita is 10 jumps away in covert. 1 in JF. It takes less than 2 mins to refit. And you most like will have isk from your other hardeners fit.
Not correct fitted - No hull reimbursents. You still wanna fly your old fit‚ then that is cool. But you will get no hull reimbursement if you happen to die.
The fighterbomber you have I am sure is fine. This is all about the correct setups on the ships themselves.

Do we really need so much drones of one type on our sc like 500 bouncer for example? Or is it ok when we only have 200?

There is just a load of them since there is lots of room without the fighters and tech 1 drones cost almost nothing‚ juѕt don't run out of dronеs. Important part is that the functionality is the same and the most important part there is the resist based tank. The implants are also what you should have for best performance but if you can't afford them then just do the best you can with them as long as the modules are correct. The officer items especially now that everyone is refitting will be difficult to get at reasonable price so just use dark blood/imperial navy/true sansha smartbombs‚ ѕhadow sеrpentis/federal navy sensor boosters and tracking computers and so on.
