*new* eve rss reader application

i am doing a ѕlow rеlease of an adobe air programs that gathers the top news stories from the better sites in eve. below is the information about the program and the link to the program

install - http://www.reinforcedtv.com/air/update/toastv1.air
not a certified app because i don't want to spend $200 on one from adobe.
so disregard any warnings about it.
*edit* it also doesn't alter or touch your file system in any bad way. it uses a temporary file for data and a place to download images for the advertising.

adobe air application works mac and pc
mobile for android coming ~soon'ish~

it has the titles and short description for each story. it direct links to the story and also allows people to share/repost the links on social media sites.

rss feed from sites being updated as new news and info sites come up
currently kugu.com and evenews24.com working on adding more.

banner ads on the app go to help the sites operate.

version 1 is called toast because i couldn't come up with a better name.....

the program is not meant to compete with any other rss program. its meant to be one centered only on eve that is easy to use and handy to have on your computer.

you should be able to use at work even if your job has a strict internet use rule. the few things it pulls from the sites are so small no one would really notice. as long as you don't click the link to go to the site.

how do you think the data it shows gets on your screen? ever notice a web page does the same thing? its called a temporary file.

if you want to check it out you can track what files it uses and you will notice they are all in the apps own sandbox.

i think the only way to do the above two would be to make a separate one that somehow does login verification and both the op timers and irc pings would need to be pushed into a secure feed that i can grab and input into the app. this is a good idea but it would take a lot of backend work to do this by ander and the rest of the crew.

Well maybe not a huge amount not sure if it would be that easy or not for them. but as far as putting it on this app it would take some research into login systems using flex and then a few hours to reconfigure the app.

could be done if the site and server guys saw value in it and wanted to invest the time. maybe it would be better once i have a mobile version as well.
