January 2011 HC Update

So we arrive in February. As part of the plans of things we wanted to do in 2011 its time for another update on bit n pieces.
This of course just got edited in the last few hours with Wshots deciding to move to pastures new. So we’ll do corps first.

Corps

January saw I.M.M join MH midway through the month. As we all know setting up a new home is a long, tiresome process not to mention the ballache of moving all your shit into a new home, so we’ll see more of them this month as they settle and find their feet.
We also parted company with ETNY after some “strains”. They moved onto Goons where they have old friends and ofc wish them well. Оn thе plus side‚ the diplos have to sort less crap from Mynas (you just knew we had to add that).
Rico’s also decided that they were not able to live up to the demands of a 0.0 corp and took the gallant and proper decision to move on before being asked to move on. Looking at dotlan, it would appear that most have moved on and we of course wish the players well in their new homes.
The slight surprise this morning was of course Wshots moving on. They will be remaining blue and joining WI, who with the strong US presence will suit their play style and we of course wish them well.
Whilst we are doing slight changes that are happening in February, I suppose it would also be proper to welcome Psycorp in this thread who arrived overnight as per the separate thread we posted last night so that people didn’t suddenly arrive and you all wonder “who are these?”
Being old residents in PB we’ll soon see that these guys are in place and in fleets, and of course welcome them to the fold.
Psycorp are actually one of two new corps joining us in the next day or so, so watch for a separate thread once they have moved their gear into appropriate locations so that the war dec doesn’t fook them about too much.

Оnе thing the HC is very keen on during the next month is looking at what we have‚ who is here to help MH and who is here for the ride. Clearly some of that can be seen from killboards and we are, and will continue to actively speak to the corps that we think are struggling to see a) what the problem is b) how we can help and c) where do we go from here if things cant be corrected.

We have had several other applications through the month, as we always do, but these have been unsuccessful with the leadership feeling that the corps do not either have a) the numbers b) the capability or c) not a good fit for the alliance. We are in a fortunate position where we can afford to select the best from those that show an interest, something that I hope will continue.

Generally speaking though, it has been great to see fleets of MH hit regularly over 100 and reaching 200 for CTA’s and Fleets. So props to the corps that are working well, as as much as we tend to focus on who doesn’t pull their weight, its important to thanks and reward the pilots that go that extra mile.

Space , Threats etc

In case anyone has been asleep, PL moved into x-70 during January. So far the damage done to MH has been relatively low. We have lost a income moon in x-70 that was held by wshots, and ofc we will be planning to recapture that back. The targets for the most part have been WI, FCon and WTF, how have all lost a few moons although some of those have since been recaptured. The only sov that has been hit so far has been to systems of FCОN’s, howеver the power that is the NC managed to successfully defend both of those incidents.
Of other note was the sbu’ing of EC- a few days ago. Many of you will have missed it since the alliance did a good job of rapidly forming‚ killing off the sbu but equally not rushing into a suicide fight with PL when they came to join in the festivities.
Space wise, c8 was finally cyno gen’d and of course ec- hit jump bridge sov level so that is now back to “business as usual”
Systems continue to be upgraded for extra income in fade and pure blind as needed, and its nice to see people grinding up the index for the greater good. Certainly this period where MH isn’t under constant defense of its space is very welcome, and means that FC’s , HC and corps can concentrate on planning for the future rather than sorting day-to-day problems.

PVP, FC’s and reimbursements

January saw the appointment of Komoz as the lead SNR FC. Komoz has, I am sure you will agree done a great job of revamping the reimbursement program to make it easy to see and administer, as well as formalizing the active doctrines for MH.
Joining him on the SNR team is Reza who most of you will have been in a fleet with in Venal or PB. Several other FC’s have also been stepping up to the plate and helping to make a formidable FC team.
MH has income that means we can support our players more than most, several alliances do not have any reimbursement programs and those that do, often only include the most serious of CTA scenarios. MH is fortunate in that we a) have the income to expand that and b) have the desire that we don’t want to see rich alliance leaders and ceo’s but want our players to have the isk they are earning by defending our space. This is why CTA’s and FLEETs get a lot of love in the reimbursement department.
In January the alliance spent approximately 22.5b in reimbursement, which I am sure you would agree, isn’t an insignificant amount. Оf coursе this is why we need to make sure we are all defending our space and why the leadership‚ as mentioned, will be making sure we all pull our weight

Comms

A common feature at the moment when we talk to other NC leadership is the bettering of comms. Not only at times is it a bit shaky in inter-allaince and inter-coalition comms, but equally sometimes MH could do, and should do a lot better. Through January we have been working hard to try and start this ball working. TS has had a few changes to make it easier with the change form forum access to independent access. Several channels also have been created to make in game comms easier. The FC’s have started a FC channel, and of course there is a new super channel for people to join.
Comms is crucial for a few reasons. A) we all get to know each other b) when you need comms in a hurry we all have them set up c) they provide methods, both in and out of game to get involved.
To this end I have listed below a few channels that you may, or may not be aware of, but should be in or have access to, if relevant to you.

• Geminate is having some pew from the ruskies versus rage and co‚ so there may be pew opportunities presenting itself
• In case you were asleep, IT alliance died.
• NC are in the process of discussing some options for some offensive fun, while there is no defensive pressures
• The leadership is looking at the suggestions being made for super cap replacement scheme’s, be it in the form of alliance ops, corp fee’s etc. Оbviously this is a gamе changer and a massive project that needs to be set up right for long term success
