Plugging in a mic in a "decent soundcard" is like wasting all your money that you just invested.

If you are routing audio through a PC at some point its gonna undergo an analog -> digital conversion no matter if you go through a desk or not‚ and many of the cheaper soundcards set up for recording will do it at 96khz and beyond, which is more than enough for even home studio stuff. Recording has been digital for like 15 years now.

Also a SM58 will give more than enough quality for any "online" activity. Hell it's even used on all festivals around the world so it's a bit more than "decent". A condenser mic is just a retarded investment if you don't have a career which requires it.

Never denied it's more than enough quality for online activity‚ it's a solid dynamic mic, but as we all know tappits is into a bit of recording and alone, it just doesn't cut it. As someone who ran a home studio I was just providing some advice on how to record good vocals WITHОUT gеtting a mortgage on a microphone.
You can get cheap condensers‚ condenser does not necessarily == expensive, it just means it's set up to pick up a much greater frequency range and all the ambience that comes with it, when you record without it you end up slapping on loads of reverb and shit trying to make it sound good.

The biggest issue will be the quality you get via the pc itself‚ not your headphoneѕ
...
go buy a hi-fi. Your pc will always bе shit in comparison

Seriously hope both of these are a troll.
