Jewless Legion -- Chill Legion
We have returned to our jewless roots slowly but surely losing every Tech Tower in Venal -- only about a dozen remain.
Inevitably, this is the stage most ADD Legion gets jittery and we start planning jump routes to the next chill place in EVE. It's the time when there are little to no ops posted, because most FCs are also waiting for the next deployment orders.
This time, we're faced with a dilemma. I've watched, followed, tried to predict the political winds of EVE for many, many years now in hopes of spotting the next good spot early on for fun. I think only once before in my EVE time have I seen stagnation at scale that faces EVE now -- and that was post final Delve wars.
This creates a unique problem for the legion, since without active wars and deployments, we are left with regions full of their occupiers with nothing else to do but blob up and defend.
Which leaves us to accept a contract to join in on a blob fest (there's been 3 offered, but we passed on in the last few months) or try to truck it on our own much like during Curse deployment after last Delve wars.
So, What do we do?
When I talked to Shamis -- my advise was aligned with his thinking as well: chill in Venal and wait for 2-3 weeks to see how regions develop. When a new spot develops, we want to be ready to bounce on it.
And while Venal has demostrated the power of aligned, in tune NC once again all deployed in a single location -- we have STILL been given great opportunities to either wipe 200 man fleets with bombs or engage in honourable capital combat with managable numbers.
These opportunities are becomming more frequent, last 2 nights demonstrate this. We've been so far unable to capitalize on these opportunities, mainly due to rust, lack of scouts, lack of intel and lack of cynos.
But -- even a retarded blind chicken hopping on one leg will find that grain eventually.
As such, I have faith in our US TZ. Because as retarded and boring as Venal might seem to some of our more ADD brothers -- I CHALLENGE you to name a better spot for us right now.
Venal, right -- what do we need to focus on?
- Time remaining towers well, 4-6am EVE. Every one of them is an opportunity to engage.
- Formup on RED_PENS -- one of them WILL be rape.
- Continue our last few day logoffski legion doctorine to see what we can do with it.
- Take the opportunity to chill in your favourite past time - be it roaming, HoN or BC2.
- Continue to develop better Bomber tactics and FITTINGS (we have failed with fittings in particular).
- Generate opportunities to engage fleets by RFing Tech Towers out of titan range of UMI as frequently as you can when there are no other ops.
That'd be my top few, I'm sure others will come up with more. For those new to the Legion, you will have to learn to deal with the slow times as well as the high peaks of activity.
Right now we're descending into a slow time matching that I think of post-DelvemkWhatever with the political landscape looking exceedingly stagnant and large entities withdrawing to carebear at home. We need to ride it out watching and waiting and bouncing on the first opportunity to have our wicked way again.
But that doesn't mean we're done in Venal. Right now -- the BEST opportunities for supercapital/capital ganks is STILL in the north. The best place for managable fights is STILL in the north.
We just have to work a bit harder for it.
And we need you to
FUCKING STОP SUCKING AND GET THOSE FUCKING OOC ALTS DONE FOR CYNO BOMBERS AND CYNO HICS.
It's unaccеptable that we have NO OOC HIC in europrime to go 7j from Jita to point and cyno us 2 mids away from 6NJ on top of 2 SCs chilling 15km from shields. GET THAT SHIT SORTED.
