I definitely think it is a horrible idea for the NC to have anything to do with PL. Any money or Scaps we give to them will only be eventually used against us.

On the other hand‚ Im sure DRF seems pretty confident that PL won't ever take a contract against them. PL really isn't so much mercenary at this point as a hired pet of DRF.

All I am saying is‚ if the only people that consistently hire PL are DRF, you might as well consider them a pet. I realize pet has negative connotations but that isn't how I am meaning it. I am saying you might as well consider them in the same power block. So people talking about hiring them against DRF or paying them off just strikes me as quite silly and something I hope no one is seriously considering.

PL went to Providence and saw that after all there was a counter to AB Hacs and they suffered pretty bad. BUT they learned the lesson and adapt the the fits and tactics from CVA.

They are using 4 diferent ship Types that act together in a deadly combo: Heavy tanked Abaddons fitted with MP's with webbers/TP's (about EHP 210K each) or Geddons fitted with webbers/TP/Neuts (160K EHP each) + Heavy Tanked Damnations with 3 TP's + Guardians + Monster tanked Lokis with Web bonus (+300k EHP). This tactic is deadly against pretty much everyhting. The anchor points are the Damnations at 10 KM that means that the BS will not Have any difficulty of shooting AB hacs that are heavily painted and webbed.

AB Hacs melt‚ Drakes can be easily tanked due to the uber abaddon resists and against fleet BS well you can imagine the laugh. Even if they are fitted for close range sooner or later a prober will manage to arrange a warp in on top of the other fleet and is pretty much the end of it, including Drake fleets.

Is not a question if it works or not. I already saw it work again and again and you guys are now seeing PL using this tactic again and again. Until we change our tactics the same causes will cause the same effect: We're going to be beaten, unless we drown them in numbers (we will win but with Heavy casualties)

I'm pretty much in agreement with DD‚ but our US TZ doesn't have the skill nor the numbers (or the perceived incentive?) to counter this at the moment. It was more or less an even fight yesterday (160ish vs 100ish being "even"), so I can't imagine what numbers we would need to make a dent without some change in tactics.

Anyway, all the rzr US tz folks logged on. Found nobody was forming a fleet 30 minutes after the op timers ended and promptly went to play tanks. Then 15 minutes prior to the pos's coming out, a fleet originally posted as an 'ab hac roam' mysteriously morphed from a 20 man gang to a 100+ man ab gang set on taking down a pos. They literally waited unitl 15 minutes prior to ping jabber. People from PB would be hard pressed to even get to H-W with that short notice. Then once the fighting started I had to close jabber cause I got like 5 pings in a row. Sorta late at that point.

People on coms were talking about there's a cap fleet, no really there's no cap fleet (Shhh! shut your yappers!). A few rage people showed up at such a timely manner that I'm sure there was some sort of super secret plan at work that really didn't do much more then guarantee our numbers were diminished when people were left outta the loop. The real problem was there were at least 4-5 roams and 2 gate camps being posted slightly before or during the super sekret form up. It's was apparently a sekret to everyone who doesn't have the link to op timers or pos trackers.

There's no point in the super sekret retardation to the point of utter confusion. It's obvious PL has had nc infiltrated at such a level that it really is counter productive. They have us on voice coms. They have us on high level inter alliance conversations. So why torture the pions with an extra layer of stupidity? At least if people KNОW somеthings going on‚ they have the option of docking the raven and doing something useful.

Pro-tip, nc can't keep sekrets. Deal with it. You don't kill someone with a carrier battlegroup because you sneak up on them. That's effectively what we do every time we move...it's an amarda. Trying to keep that secret across all these infiltrated coms doesn't seem to be succeeding. So why leach or only advantage here...numbers.

That's still enough damage to take down primaries, plus you have 5 different primaries making their logistics tougher to manage.

In addition you now have information flows from 5 different comms channels and 5 different fleets to try to keep up with and communicate to the enemy. Much tougher task than relaying the single goal of 256 pilots.
To this end, even leave them in the same fleet, just open communications for each wing and operate in wing units. Wing pilots get wing broadcasts, Wing Commanders get fleet broadcasts, Logis get all broadcasts.

Just saying, sometimes it seems their logis lock our primary before we lock our primary and theory crafting some counter spai tactics is interesting at minimum.

Troll if you will, just an idea...altho anyone who does is clearly a spai!

What I would be interested in is seeing some alliances take on more specialized roles within the blob. Instead of every fleet being apocs and guardians fit the exact same way‚ you might assign certain alliances to bring mods based on a specific role. This could be what ever the need dictates...painters, heavy alpha bs, webs, etc. Add some easily flexibility into a more modular fitting design.

If you have a military background you might be familiar with weapons teams, squads, and platoons. Essentially, they operated within the maneuver elements but take on more specialized roles when fighting starts. If the standard carbine worked for every situation, then military's would have no need to develop man portable heavy weapons platforms. Оbviously, that's not thе reality. There's no reason to give every single soldier on the field a m203 or a SAW‚ but having some tactical flexibility warrants adding 1 or 2 per squad.

We've essentially limited ourselves to 1 of 3 basic ships and fittings: fleet apoc, sop drake swarm, ab zealot. PL know this as surely as they are reading what I've just posted. The counters are already in play.
