[ME] Whats going on with NC recap

Evenews24 has it first, the NC is withdrawing, we remove all our assets from the drone regions, the DRF won this war and their contract with PL broke our back. The USSR Russian Federation has shown again, you can't win a war against them. The campaign was pointless and the NC achieved nothing.

If you look at the original goals of this campaign, study the map and add the fact that the the DRF had to pull down all but 7 CSAAs and you should come to a different conclusion. Most of that article is just typical PL wanking off to their success in Venal, I'm sure Krutoj will be happy and joins their circlejerking on kugutsumen.

So lets look at from a more realistic point of view:
We went there to prevent an DRF invasion, which could undo all our efforts in Geminate - check
We went there to disrupt their renter income - check
We went there to disrupt their Supercap production - check
We went there for good fights - check

If you look at the map of Kalevala, you should notice that except for one station and some systems they can't use, it's completely in the hand of the NC. The former owners of the R1О station basically got еvicted and are now paying bills for space they can't use. We disabled Legions main route to empire which ended in LXQ‚ and with an empire that big, supply lines are a vital for the logistics of the local alliances and their guests.
If anybody expected complete and utter destruction of the Drone Russians, he had set his hopes unrealistically high. Not that I ever announced such a goal.

But is it at least true that the NC is withdrawing?

Yes and no. To an outsider it might look like that, MM & RZR withdraw their forces => campaign over. Members of the NC should know however that unlike other coalitions we're not a temporary alliance and do not have a single leader dicator who commands the fate of his willing legions. The NC is a coalition of BFFs, who each have the freedom to pursue goals of their own, sometimes we buddy up for that and when we have too tough a nut to crack, the rest of our friends are just a call away.

Are we withdrawing?

No. Why would we have defended M3 then? What will happen is a temporary shift of attention, away from the DRF, to Pandemic Legion to regain the ISK sources of our fellow alliance & coalition members. We'll move our staging point away from LS- for some time but we won't give up Kalevala. If the DRF wants the space it will have to chew hard on 4 timers per station system, all in US TZ.

So what true about the news then?

It's true that PL has taken many tech moons in Venal and it's true that we're going to take them back with 2000 men, cause that's the easiest way.

tl;dr: We achieved many of our goals, we'll keep Kalevala, and we'll kick PL out (2nd post will follow, MM has a nice one with pictures which I'll steal)

While we were gone, the Legion swarmed in and pillaged our resources.
