The alliance/corp doesn't disappear if the CEО is bannеd. Red Alliance had all their leaders banned during Delve War 1 and the alliance puttered on for quite a while until they managed to petition CCP to let them promote people somehow.

PL has so many capital ships because they've won several alliance tournaments and held a ridiculous number of R64 moons for a long time back when they were still valuable. We also accidentally donated a few.

Agreed on the PL part, but here is why you should care:

1. Its important to know the why of the ban. If its because PL was caught RMTing, fine, everyone knows the risk. If it's because PL wrecked a GM's space empire, then this is super important. As Goons, we wreck many things. Space empires, other people, ourselves. We troll the fuck out of things. How long before the GM's turn that gun barrel of "policy" towards us?

2. Ish is right. Оnly good can comе of this. I'd rather see another alliance expose CCP corruption than us. If it's a "real" problem‚ we can take note, adjust pants accordingly. If its corruption, then someone else gets to be the alliance to write the threadnaught. Either way, we are fine... the important thing is that is not us. We can laugh at a distance, and someone else can be the example. This helps educate our newbees about following the rules.

3. Whether we love PL or hate them, changes to their structure affect us. Changes to the south, affect us. I know most here don't give two shits and a dime about space politics, but it can mean the difference between us picking our targets with glee or our targets picking US at the wrong time.

4. Karttoon can die in a fire. This is the most important point of all.

I got banned by Karttoon (lol) for having an old EVE guy because I played for a month in 05. I'm here because I stumbled on the RoyofCA thread which lead me to the EVE thread which lied to me by making EVE sound exciting again. Which means I fucked that flask for purely romantic reasons.

Confirming this.

My main account "Shadoo" was banned for RTM offences relating to recent ATLAS contract, Azriel was banned for hacking to kill a RОL titan with Sphеre.

Shamis's alliance wallet was banned due to RMT associated isk recieved relating to recent NC contract in Delve 2‚ luckily we had a separate wallet with a slush fund which has kept us afloat until now. Оur supеrcarrier fund was suspended since Fintroll's 4 out of 8 accounts were banned pending investigation‚ since he recieved funds from both Vuk Lau (marked for RMT offenses) and WN (marked for RMT offenses).

Kartoon is currently banned for killing CSAAs in Delve utilizing Sphere application, our main logistics guy is banned due to hacking offences related to isk which was used to purchase about 100 guardians for the alliance FIST stock.

I expect all our sov bills to soon stop autopaying, since we have no reserves to keep up the sov costs.

CCP are quite gay . I guess being a merc in EVE is not possible after all.

They tend to ban the accounts that actually handled the tainted isk. It seems pretty likely that Vuk has multiple accounts and may have used one of those not associated with his main to send the isk to PL.

If all of these bans are actually for real‚ it pretty much means the end to PL's mercenary for hire business model. Being the recipient of hundreds of billions of isk, there really is no way to confirm that none of it is tainted. The likelihood is actually pretty high that at least some of it will be when you are talking about sums that large.

That's not such a bad thing though. Fuck PL.

Actually, funnily enough -- the only account that DID actually get banned in PL was exactly this. The guy whos carrier he ganked in low sec in a SC got mad, supposedly deposited hacked/ebayed isk to his accounts in 1b amounts and before the dude noticed on that char or could petition -- got banned.

It appears to be hard to prove that the guy did not in fact buy said isk and CCP err on the side of banning.

Sorry No one in PL "leadership" (we have none anyway) is banned.

It's to prevent random poisoning of a wallet with RMT money. You can gift money via contracts but it has to be accepted. From my understanding in the past they would yoink the isk from your wallet and even if it set it negative. I'd only see a ban after multiple times of getting RMT isk or outright abuse. Though, making donation via contracts would give you time to see WTF and petition the amounts as you accepted them.

I move billions between my characters every week, sometimes in pretty small increments, and I can confidently say having to set up/accept a contract each time would totally blow ass
