WI DOT Dude loses 4 carriers ratting

Bit of background - this guy is literally the worst FC in the known universe.
Even proviblob stopped letting him FC (eventually).

3 of my ratting carriers got ganked from reds / ( standing ) blues in 4dt

saw the blues come into local and got concerned, but didnt really think anything of it until i was tackled. Dont remember seeing anything in intel but i must admit that i dont know branch well

3 of my carriers died plus 2 from friends in dgrd

started at 15 reds, spike to 60 before the tanks broke.

Dual rep carriers deff prolonged this engagement... Killed 3 - 4 BC's personally

ISK wise i cannot bitch much. While losing carriers hurts they were insured, so maybe lost 500m total.

Thanks for everyone who helped, sorry if we look omg horrible for the losses but I did go down fighting

Its called "im too greedy to fit my carriers sensibly‚ and when i have 40+ fighters in space im sure as hell not going to warp off to station / safe pos / ro90 jump beacon because i will lose them all.

Ratting with 3 carriers at the same time is excessive‚ that being said ultimately ratting in caps/scaps you do at your own risk. You should know that if you ask your friends to come and help you that they will, but that doesn't mean they should. Not only did you get your own carriers killed but caps and ships of your friends.

I've already spoken to guys in dgrd about this so the alliance won't be doing anything. If this ever happens again though individual players will be banned from ratting in branch on a per toon basis.

Pvp is banned in branch under any circumstances unless sov is threatened thats what fade is for, getting caught by hostiles ratting/mining is stupid, but there will be little official consequence, calling for help and getting your friends killed though will cause problems that will be fixed on an alliance basis.

I think we are missing an important issue here. The fact that corp or personal standings are causing serious security issues. Would it not be wise to dispense of any standings not set at an alliance level? If only to use this situation as an example as to why.

Though I'm sorry for your loss, this thread heads up for me to go revise my personal standings. Imho each corp should book it in their calendar to revise standings from time to time. I personally found old friends being set blue though they are in red for alliance corps/alliances.
