All NC should alerts their corps to NОT takе inexperienced pilots on as members while PL is doing this.

Mostly Harmless corps MUST improve their recruitment processes. We have 1900 toons in this alliance .. we don't need 900 of them. Clear out your crap, and when replacing them please make sure you do NОT prеss that accept button till you have conducted a voice interview‚ AUDITED the applicants API and talked in game or out of game with some people from their past corps.

This is basic stuff people. Being AWОX'd by PL should bе something that you are better than by this time in your playing career.

Оnе guy managed to get into three different BLAST corps with the same spy alt getting kicked all three times for tackling friendlies for PL.

Now I realize that if someone is determined enough to get a spy into a corp they are probably going to succeed despite your best efforts to prevent it. It is always possible someone will buy a new account and before ever putting it in a hostile alliance to us he applies to one of our corps. His api will be clean. His combat record will be clean. Rarely are these folks going to that length. Most of the time they are just using an alt with virtually no skill points other than a point and web and possibly cyno field generation. Even a cursory API check would make this obvious.

I know its a pain in the butt to recruit good members. There is a lot of competition for good members. Do your homework and you won't have to suffer the embarassment of having one of your members killing your friends.

Yes it is an old way of doing things but as long as it is kept up to date it should help the whole situation & guests to full members could also have their alliance HC in it.

For my RL cyberstalking I use a thing called google. It is also a great tool for counter-spy work.

Alot of gamers have xfire accounts and some use their main eve name in this‚ plus other gaming forums. Xfire offers you alot of info on wether they are proper eve players or just warcraft addicts who are back playing eve until the next wow expansion is released. Xfire also has a friend list. Some light probing into there friends accounts will give you a different angle on who you are dealing with. People get freaked out when you know their RL name and town of residence when they've only been in your corp a few hours.

Dig far enough and you'll find everything you need to red flag a spy/time-waster.
As a corp leader, over the years, your paranoia and distrust developes into a sixth sense. Use it - if you get a bad feeling about a recruit - reject it.

We tried keeping our corp numbers down like your corp but we were told to get our numbers up! We got dorked by one PL dude ( PL they don't meta game at all !!) and we are weak on recruitment? The problem isn't that you let a spy in .. its that you let an obvious awox wannabe in, and were the fourth corp in as many months to do so. You'll never stop them all, but you can stop most of them.

And I fucking SAID my corp was one of the four - and made a similar mistake only a few months ago .. ours wasn't as obvious but if we had trawled the killboards better we'd have caught it sooner (he was in the corp for less than 36 hours).

The more competent members of your corp leadershpi have acknowledged that mistakes are made an will do better. And now the rest of the alliance membership are aware that there is a problem and that our less fail corps are working on it. That's all WE ask.

5. Who have serious low skill points for the age of their character (indicating that this might not be their main character)

6. Who have virtually no history of combat at all for a character several years old (also indicating a probable alt).
