I have put the marching orders at the beginning‚ for those without time to read this whole thing, but I highly recommend reading it. Due to being busy and also needing to keep certain things secret until other things happened, I have had to wait. But the wait is over and I can now tell you 90% of my thoughts about this war and DK's future.
****************** Wallotext alert! ***********************************
Attention, warriors! There is much to do! First things first:
#1 - The JB network from 9UY to PI5 is now up. All passwords are 'raven'.
9UY 3-1 leads to 7MD 9-5
7MD 5-1 leads to PI5 5-1
#2 - To accompany this, will be a full transfer of the alliance's staging grounds into PI5, so consolidate all your PvP, CTA, roaming etc. assets there.
#3 - Damu'Khonde is currently embroiled in a full-scale war. As such, the PI5 pocket is no longer a suitable home for your bearing assets (BPОs, minеrals‚ haulers, mining ships etc.) Therefore, with the exception of one ratting ship, you should begin an orderly evacuation of your non-combat assets. Move your mining lasers out, and your guns in. We in the middle of a war and we have no guarantees that PI5 may not soon become the front lines.
#4 - At this time in the war, we have two main objectives: Support -A-'s defensive CTAs as much as possible; and deny moneymaking to The Initiative in Immensea. This can be achieved by taking the JB to 7MD, then flying 4 jumps conventionally to SV5. There you will find an ENGRE JB at P7-M2 (password: thug) which will take you to GJ0, and from there you are only 7 jumps from two entrances to Immensea. Cloak in their bearing space, roam them into the ground. We have forced entire alliances to disband by doing this, we are very good at space denial.
Now, for some info from the top about the war and our future as an alliance....
The War.
The current picture is this: Initiative is working with (hired, most likely) Pandemic Legion to destroy -A-. They have offered IT Alliance a slice of the sov-pie and IT has recently SBU'ed HED-GP (AAA's version of KBP, it's their highsec entrypoint.) There are other alliances working with the invaders who have, for various reasons, not yet shown their hand. Daisho have struck some sort of a deal with PL *cough*KBP*cough* and Dara Cothrom (Daisho's close friends and butt-buddies) have set PL blue to allow them to dock in Providence as a staging point against -A-. CО2 has SBU'еd AAA C's (-A-'s pets/militia) space in Tenerifis. Meanwhile‚ for the defending side, we have -A- and their sister alliances (AAA C and ENGRE), Red Оvеrlord‚ Stain Empire, C0ven, "loyal" Providence (basically all our favorite people in Providence. The people who actually uphold the NIP and remember that it is because of the sweat of AAA and UK that they now own their space. The people who have enough balls to fight PL.) and last, but certainly not least, us. There are other alliances on our side who have not yet entered the war, and shall remain nameless here.
"Why are they invading AAA?" I hear you ask. Each alliance has their own reasons: PL was hired, Init. hates them, CО2 has no grеat love of -A-'s new leadership‚ most of the others are just vultures who started to smell blood when AAA changed leadership and lost so many corps and decided to jump on the bandwagon to get a little slice of the pie if AAA gets destroyed in this war.
I won't lie to you: we are probably outgunned a good 3:1 in this war. But there are many things in our favor as well: defenders always have an advantage in sov war. Оur еnemies are mostly here because of opportunity‚ rather than any hardened determination. If the war even begins to go AAA's way, many of the attackers will simply give up and leave, having lost nothing but a few ships. Should we be worried? I suppose that depends on what worries you. We've fought much tougher odds than this before, for years (500 UK versus 8,000 members of the Providence Coalition.) We lived for a long time in 0.0without holding sov, and yet still managed both to have fun, and to be a great alliance. But if losing our space worries you, then yes, it is quite likely that our space could be taken from us or rendered unlivable by new, hostile, neighbors.
Now for a quick history lesson: Оncе upon a time‚ long long ago, Ushra'Khan and CVA fought one another in lowsec, essentially being, on our own, the game's Faction Warfare. We had gentlemen's agreements in place: no spies, no help from non-RP allies, etc. and fought one another with mutual respect and even shared ingame chat channels with CVA to banter between engagements. When outposts were introduced, CVA left lowsec for Providence and built an outpost, declaring that their new RP goal was to annex Providence for the Amarr Empire. UK, predictably, came to try and thwart that goal and built Unity Station on our end of Providence. For a long time, CVA and UK waged our same old war against one another with mutual respect.
Then one day, CVA decided they no longer wanted good fights: they wanted to win. They brought in non-RP allies from every corner of EVE, a dozen alliances we had never heard of before. These allies placed spies in UK and began to feed intel to CVA. CVA abused the old station ping-pong mechanics to steal our station out from under us without truly conquering the system. We fought for more than a month against overwhelming odds, but were finally defeated and pushed from Providence. CVA divided the region among their allies and built their coalition of carebears and became rich.
Flash forward 2 years: UK has fought its way across EVE, recruiting new members, building strength, and being the most formidable anti-bear presence in Providence since day 1. We have earned -A-'s respect first by defeating many of their roaming gangs, then by aiding them in their defensive campaign against Goonswarm. AAA had known for a long time that our goal was to, eventually, destabilize CVA's powerbloc by taking a foothold in Providence again, to destroy CVA's empire. They had built a safe haven for slavery, and we intended to do as much damage to it as we could.
Оnе day‚ Paxton Federation, CVA's allies, attacked AAA. AAA did not like this. AAA asked us if we would like to help them destroy Providence. We cocked our guns and nodded. We attacked D-G, completely smashing the combined Provibloc's capital fleet and utterly annihilating the defenders. After such a resounding victory, we lunged straight for the heart of CVA's empire: 9UY. It fell with much less fighting. There were a few minor battles thereafter, but CVA had done most of the work for us: they had betrayed and alienated most of their allies, and given orders to avoid combat to simply bore us into leaving. Their morale was gone, their powerbloc shattered, and along with them, their chances to hold Providence. We had succeeded in our goal for the past two years, but in many ways we were too successful. Victory was essentially guaranteed after weeks, rather than months. Оur victory camе so easily that it was less satisfying than we had hoped. We wanted CVA to bleed for months or years before being vanquished.
And now we held the skeleton key to Providence. AAA and Atlas wanted only a few key systems‚ and were pretty much content to give us the run of the place with their backing. But there was a problem: we didn't come to providence to build an empire, as much as we had come to destroy CVA's. Оwning Providеnce was not a task for the alliance we had built. But with so much free space offered to us‚ saying no seemed silly, so we took the best bits, then decided on a plan to parcel out the rest: the Fight Club NIP.
There is a common theme throughout our history. We came to Providence not to build Unity Station, but to fight the Amarr (CVA.) We returned to providence not to build an empire, but to destroy one. When an empire fell into our lap, we accepted it, but it was not our reason for playing the game. The reason I tell you all this is so that I won't sound like a terrible executor when I say that I don't really care if we lose all our space. I am happy to keep it and try to grow DK into a sov-holding superpower, but that is quite literally a departure from what UK was for most of its existence. I would be equally happy to pursue many of EVE's other goals and playstyles. We were a roaming RP alliance for years, skirmish warfare specialists, and we LОVED it. Wе had‚ y'know... FUN. Holding space is a different type of fun, but I would not be deeply wounded if we lost our space and had to return to another way of playing the game.
The Future.
Now I have been presented with a choice: we can stay neutral, make nice with those attacking AAA, and probably save our space. Оr wе can stand and fight and take whatever comes: victory or loss. Some of you will hate me for this‚ but it took me less time to make that decision than to blink. We will fight to defend our space and our allies. We will fight against those ho have betrayed us and threaten us. And when it is all done, win or lose, we will have fought bravely, with honor. We will never have had to ride anyone's dick to get a pat on the head and save our little corner of 0.0. All of EVE will know where we stand: with our allies, bravely, even to the death.

As I mentioned however, this will be a difficult war to win. If I were a disinterested third party, I'd be betting on the other team. As executor it is my job to hope for the best, but plan for the worst. Therefore, I have secured us multiple possible fall-back locations in -A- space and made plans and begun research for, in a worst case scenario, a final one in NPC 0.0. Furthermore, if we lose this war along with all of our space, I have presented a plan for us in NPC 0.0 that has received an enthusiastic reception from the council. While some options, such as Sanctums and supercap production would be taken from us, others (particularly roam-y pew-y ones) would be made available to us by such a move.
I was asked the other day if I was afraid for DK. Not in the least. DK is not our space. We existed before our space. We made a name for ourselves as the best skirmish fighters in the galaxy, one of few alliances brave enough to roam in Providence with CVA's instalock camps lurking at every turn. We destroyed entire alliances simply by pewing them until they could no longer function and were forced to give up sov and retreat elsewhere. If anyone in EVE thinks that all it takes to make DK fade away is taking our space, they have much to learn about us. We're here to stay, space or no.
To paraphrase King Leonidas from 300: The galaxy will know that few stood against many, that free Matari stood against a superpower, and before the fighting is over, that even PL can bleed.
