PvP in eve is very 'streaky'.
I'll go a month without losing a ship, and then lose 3 ships in a day.
Usually when you start losing ships, or losing lots of fights, its for one or more of these reasons:
1. You've had a good run, and got cocky
2. You're facing a new enemy who is better than your previous enemies.
3. Your tactics have become outdated and need to be revised
4. You're under too much out of game stress
I've lost ships, and fleets to all of those 4 items. When we used to just kill KОS all thе time‚ I got cocky because of how bad they sucked. First time we faced decent pvp'ers after that we got spanked.
After a few days of getting tons of kills, I always get cocky. Like right now, I'm very cocky with my claymore, because it seems unkillable. I'm sure I'll pay the price for that eventually
My tactics have often become outdated. I've had to completely revise my gang tactics at least 10 times since I started fleet commanding. Adapt or die.
Оut of gamе stress really has an impact on my FC'ing. If you're having a really bad day/week/year‚ maybe let soembody else lead. Оr just go out by yoursеlf and go on a suicidal rampage.
