It loses 1 ship‚ but it gainѕ about 1000 dps and somе nice longrange webs...although the long range webs are on a slower ship...

Im pretty ѕurе the fit on the info mod proteus can be better. Why dont you go with the drone subsystem? That would put 315 DPS out in sentry drone damage and since you would only fit like three guns you wouldnt have to go with 2x grid rigs.

With something like light blasters + bouncers youd get similiar DPS while pushing EHP upto 150-160 EHP...

proteus = 1250 m/s (not overheated)
Eos = Crazy slow...but he just runs to edge of arena and pwns people with 100km ecm drones.
brutix = 1000 m/s
ishkur 2500 m/s
taranis 5000 m/s (7.5km/s with overheat)

The proteus will be able to catch most cruiser sized ships. The ishkur/tarani will have to chase down anything faster. But the proteus with overheat should be able to catch anything significant other than perhaps vagabonds/lokis. For really fast stuff we may just have to swarm it with drones.

My only concern is that this team really has no way of breaking huge tanks other than raw dps...so if we give up any dps I think there is a danger of getting permatanked by a flagship.

What about dropping an ishkur and fitting 2 of these? You lose a bit of EHP if you factor the ganglink in but even without drones you gain DPS, with them you do 700 DPS, but you can fit ECM drone and damage drones
