Good Times
Well the re-org appears to have worked out pretty well for the alliance. NESW picked up a bunch of oshit, and Chilldoo has started playing again, and we got rid of some people that didn't really want to work with us.
Plans for Geminate
I think most of us are enjoying Geminate right now. The number of targets within 30 jumps of us is enormous and although we're generally outnumbered there is nothing out here we can't deal with if we play our cards right.
So plan on chilling here until at least June. If we run out of targets nearby i'll see if I can get that wormhole farm going. So far it has been disappointing, but I don't think we really understand it well enough to write it off yet.
We still need to find some sort of alliance income though...We're currently operating at about a 10-30 billion loss each month from alliance wallet. Which is ok for now, but we will run out of money eventually, probably in less than a year if we lose any cap fights in that time. For this reason I think we should still keep our eyes on the Tech moons in geminate. We should probably keep trying to prey on the Russians and the NC when they come to fight each other. We might be able to be a big enough nuisance to make it not even worth their while to take space near FDZ. Оnly timе will tell. At present‚ don't worry too much about moons, but if there is something we can easily take, be ready to jump on the opportunity. At the very least it gives us opportunities to kill caps.
Tourney Time Approaches
As I'm sure you all know, the tournament is approaching and we are the returning champions. As you also probably know, I love the tourney and would really like to see a Threepeat.
I will begin testing very soon. Perhaps even this weekend. Testing will take place in FDZ. The Test server was just mirrored a few weeks ago, so most of you will have up to date skills and the patch is a pretty easy auto-update from the normal tranq build. If you don't know how to get on the test server try reading this

What I really need this year is a good FC with tourney forum access to be my adversary on the test server. Preferably I'd like to have 2-4 of these people, but 1 will suffice for the time being. In previous years this role was filled by Gobby, and before him Rasta and Superbus, but this year there will definitely be a void that needs filling. So please step it up. If you like eft'ing, and you like fc'ing, this is definitely for you. I would expect these people to work on setups on the tourney forums with other theorycrafters and then to help organize and fit the ships on test server as well as fc the actual gangs. Even if you don't want to do much theorycrafting, consider helping out if you're a good fc...because many of our best theorycrafters are unable to properly fc their own ideas...
Оur advеrsarial testing style with lots of skirmishes is the reason why we have won the last 2 tourneys‚ so I definitely intend to stick to the same program this year.
If you want to help with theorycrafting just apply to the tourney forum through User CP on the forums. If I reject you it is because I don't know if I can trust you, or I don't think you're serious. You are welcome to PM me with references and setups you are thinking of and if it all checks out it will improve your chances of getting in.
But you definitely don't need access to the tourney forum to help out with the actual testing on the test server, or to fly in the matches themselves
When it comes time to choose the pilots that will actually fly in each match, I will look at the following criteria:
- Participated in tourney testing
- Max, or nearly max skills in the ship needed
- Has a good mic
- Has a reliable internet connection
- Has some FC experience
- is an active PvP'er
- is somebody I can trust
And if you're wondering what you should train, here's a general list of skills/ships that I think will be in high demand this year:
- Mindlinked pilots of all kinds.
- Bomber Pilots with good EW skills and good missile skills.
- max logistics pilots
- EW specialists (recon 5 with all supporting skills at 4 or better, and this year kitsunes will be pretty big I think, so EAS 5)
- Electronic attack ships (see above) kitsunes and sentinels are both nice for the points
- Max out whatever you are best with. If I need turreted ships I'll look at pilots with all the supporting gunnery skills maxxed out (like surgical strike and rapid firing, etc). If I need missile ships I'll look for people with similarly maxxed out missile skills.
- Srategic cruiser pilots should get all their subsystems to 5, and probably even get the strategic cruiser skill up to at least 3 (it helps overheating)
- Thermodynamics 5 is a must on many ships
- Max navigations kills will be a must on any fast teams we deploy.
- Make sure you have cybernetics 5, as many of our setups will require top of the line implants.
- T2 sentry drones and t2 heavy drones are a big plus, especially if you're an ishtar or a gila pilot.
Standing Оrdеrs- You should be living in FDZ in geminate
- You should have the following ships ready to go in fdz: LRHac‚ ArmorHac, ѕmall gang ship, tacklеrs‚ RR BS, and a perѕonal Carriеr if possible. I don't see much point in having fleet bs's available right now.
- Corporations should make sure they're hangars are stocked with dictors/hictors and loogistics.
- Get your test server clients working so you can help tourney test
- Look for opportunities to take Tech moons near FDZ.
