Fountain Failtrain
I can honestly say that I tried very hard to stop IT in fountain. I still believe that we could have won this defense if you, the membership had actually been motivated to fight. This of course was not the case, so here we are. I was a bit annoyed by the lack of people willing to step up and the lack of general participation at key points during this war, particularly when it came to defending jewgold moons that we really needed to hold.
It certainly did not help that SОT failcascadеd faster than anybody anticipated. There were also certain personalities within goonswarm that made coordination more difficult than normal this time around.
In any case‚ it's over, and we have lost all our space. This provides me with a unique opportunity to do what I've wanted to do for a long time, particularly since dominion was released...
We're Moving to Geminate
I have to apologize to anybody who didn't know we were pulling out of fountain. I had to keep the withdraw quiet so that we didn't get camped into fountain for weeks. I think we manged that fairly well and most corporations have already evacuated all their valuables.
Everybody should be in Vehan, or on their way to vehan now. Next stop is fdz4-a. Your corporation should already have an office there, if not then complain to your failure of a ceo.
You may be wondering why I have chosen geminate:
- Easy Logistics
- NPC sov with conquerable sov 2 jumps in any direction.
- Geminate is the hub of north/northeastern eve with easy access to Tribute, Vale, Venal, Tenal, Great Wildlands, Branch, And of course the countless systems that make up the drone regions.
And yes, I realize that things might get boring up there relatively quickly. I have a plan to fix that. If it doesn't work, then we can move again in 6-8 weeks.
We're Resetting Everybody
As I release this SОTL I am also making anothеr public announcement‚ we are resetting EVERYBОDY. Thеy will all get 24 hours notice.
I have removed all other pandemic exec roles until I can figure out who is going to go along with this and not try to fuck shit up. Everytime I try to do these big resets I usually find out that somebody has set some blues a few days later which pisses me off.
No blues. Yes I feel bad about not helping goons‚ but for how many YEARS are we going to continue to fight the same shitty blob war? I'm done with it. I'm looking for an eve playstyle that my schedule can accomodate. I have no desire to drop everything every time there is some sort of critical strategic war objective going on in eve. It used to be fun, but I refuse to let eve continue to dictate what I do in real life. All of you have already shown me that we don't have enough leaders to effectively split the work load of fc'ing and strategizing without requiring one guy to play 10 hours a day, so this is really the only option at the moment.
To reiterate, we're resetting everybody, unless you've registered them with me as an alt corp. There will be no temp blues for a long time either. Why? Because it pleases me. If you don't like it: get out.
The Future
Cancelling plans with the wife to stay home and watch 4 of ours titans die and an entire cap fleet go down without having a chance to fire a single shot sort of reminded me why I don't like huge fights (and CCP).
I will attempt to do what we've always talked about doing for the last 2 years. That is, getting back to no blues, kill stuff everyday and piss in everybody's cheerios. I have no idea if this play style is even viable now, but I intend to try it. If it doesn't work, then I'm probably done with eve. So basically I will be trying to do whatever I think will make eve fun for me as a player.
I am sure lots of people will quit during this period, and perhaps lots of other people will suddenly become more active, but I am fully prepared to deal with the repercussions of this change no matter how severe they may be to the alliance.
Another issue that must be discussed is our financial future. I can tell you right now that most of the amenities that you enjoy in PL are about to go away. You collectively brought this on yourselves, and I expect no whining about it. There will be no reimbursements for anything other than dictors and staging pos fuel for the foreseeable future. We may even have to start switching to personally owned dreads...I will make a decision on that in the next month or two. So in light of this I ask, again, for all of you to start thinking of ways to make money that could scale to alliance wide operations. If you think it can work, contact me about it and I'll see what we can do. Until we have some sort of alliance income we will be operating at a loss. We can afford to operate at a loss for at least 6 months, but I see no reason to run the wallet dry unless we have to.
Purge baby, Purge
I'd like to clean up PL quite a bit during this time. We still have spies lurking and we have tons of inactive people. I am suggesting that ALL corporations get rid of people who: a)have no kills or don't help with logistics b) haven't logged in in 2+ months, or c) are generally a shithead.
We also have several corporations in PL right now that are barely maintaining any sort of organization or activity. To these corporations, please sort your shit out. Either fix your corp, or merge with another corp in PL. Оthеrwise you're all getting the boot.
Standing Orders- Move to FDZ
- Personal Ships to have in FDZ:Personal Carriers/dreads‚ RR BS, Fleet BS, LR HACs, BОMBERS!, a small gang ship, and of coursе dictors/ceptors/hictors/recons.
- If you have some extra cash‚ get yourѕеlf an artyabaddon.
- FC's need to step it up and lead gangs. There really is no pressure now‚ ѕo thеre is no excuse for not trying.
