Rho wants us to do more ops with rrbc's in the near future, so I figure it would be prudent for us to know what to do with them. I was curious about how to fit and fly them, so I figured others must have similar questions. As I get a better understanding of it from others' posts and personal experience, I'll edit this post so that all of the relevant info is compiled in one area.
So, some basic things I think are necessary for flying rrbc's:
- How do you fit them?
Current requirements are that they be shield tanked with at least one extender and one Invulnerability field (and maybe an EM resist rig) and have a medium shield transporter in the highs. The shield transporter may be offline for some fits, but if you can keep an online shield transporter then do it. I mean, you do want practice with rr, right? Seeing as fitting to be able to hit to 70km really gimps some of these fits (in conjunction with the other requirements), I'm gonna say 50-60km is good enough.

There are other ways you could fit it, mostly slight variations of the lows and mids, but I really like this one. With all V's, it has 80k EHP in shields, does 279 dps out to 80km, but realistically all those numbers are gonna be a fair bit lower due to the required skills. Still, their tanking ability can't be beat outside larger or more expensive hulls and the DPS is the best of the RRBC fits, but missiles are delayed damage. Оvеrall‚ the pros strongly outweigh the cons. It'll give waffles plenty of buffer to practice the art of rr.

Bare minimum skills to fly (and meet range requirements): Electronics 4, Long range targeting 1, Engineering 5, Energy Grid Upgrades 4, Shield Emission Systems 1, Shield Upgrades 1, Tactical Shield Manipulation 1, Weapon Upgrades 4, Shield Rigging 1, Heavy Missiles 1, Missile Bombardment 3, Missile Launcher Оpеration 1‚ Missile Projection 2, Standard Missiles 2, Afterburner 3, High Speed Maneuvering 1, Navigation 3, Science 2, Battlecruisers 2, Caldari Frigate 4, Caldari Cruiser 3, Spaceship Command 4.
The fitting skills are the most demanding requirements for this, but you should get/have them regardless of whether you fly a Drake or not.
If you have Electronics 5, Shield Upgrades 4, and Tactical Shield Manipulation 4, you can upgrade the hardeners and one of the shield extenders. If you have all of the above skills and Advanced Weapon Upgrades 4, then you can use the better drake fit.
With bare minimum skills, shield EHP is 41,561 and DPS is 146.4 up to 58km away. If you've played more than a couple weeks, you probably have at least those fitting skills already, and if you fly a stealth bomber or Hurricane then you easily exceed most of the requirements. Even this bare bones, shitty drake is about as effective as the other BCs, and has more buffer. There's little reason not to fly a drake for RRBCs.

Has 50,726 EHP in shields and does 172 DPS and can hit to 73+13 km. Upgrading the guns isn't worth it, since you only gain 8dps (and about 20km range, which isn't important since you don't need it) by doing so and lose 6k shield EHP. If you can fly this then you can probably fly a drake, so you may as well fly a drake. The train time is no more than a few days (from no caldari/missiles trained) and it gives you the best rrbc available. Still, if you're gallente and you're gay, you could use this.

DPS with all V's is 200, and can hit to 55+28km. Shield EHP is 25,930. A drake is better, but a hurricane has instant damage. Fits with perfect skills, but at my skills and below it requires a 3% PG implant. You could replace the RCU I with an RCU II and it would fit, assuming you have the skills to fit it. Alternatively, you could downgrade the guns and the shield transporter, and replace the co-processor with a TE II. It does 18 dps less that way, but it's up to you. While flying this thing, train for a drake because it's better in almost every regard. Seriously.

It has 20,638 EHP in shields, so it's going to die quickly. Does 254 DPS and can hit out to 61+12km so it's not bad considering you have to downgrade guns. You could offline the shield transporter, which frees up some much needed cpu, but it kind of defeats the purpose of RRBC.

Shield EHP is 22‚033, DPS iѕ 201 and can hit to 84+25km. Nеeds AWU 4 and either Shield upgrades 5 or a 1% grid implant to fit. Does 29 more DPS than a ferox‚ but haѕ half thе tank. You may as well fly a ferox until you can fly a drake.
