Like hello....u should stay aligned and the dude had to jump in and warp to the belt. just say he was lucky or a rly rly good scanner. and the dude ratting in a belt in scan range from the gate. . I personally use max 10 sec scanning all belts in scan range when i enter a system as long they are fairly spread out. I running several 60Ish find him on 1 , then 30, 15, and after that I rarly bother trying to locate to a 5 due to that it takes time. so i just go for it.(pick a random belt out of those 1-3 belts showing up). using longer time than that is usually no point (Im used to hunt farmers).

My point been...as a ratter unless he run a stop watch , I doubt he will notice the difference if he isnt starting to warp the second local jump with 1 neutral, between the neutral scanning him down in 10 sec or using a blue alt as warp in. only way I would agree on this is if the arazu is warping in like right on top of him while the ratter is far off warp in point to the belt which is the correct way of ratting anyways.
