Dudes,

So my most recent fights have not really seen a lot of goon participation. I think we defended some bob towers in 3-L or whatever the other night and there were around 100 (?) hostiles or so, most of which was goons.

But its a 5k person alliance, the largest in game and we don't see them with more than 100 in fleet? EXE has 1500 people and I saw 120 in fleet the other day.

So yeah, whats the deal there, or have I just not been on the right ops?

They have had shitty number lately. They are not immediately threatened at the moment and the righteous indignation about AAA has gone, so they aren't really motivated. Should change when the NC loses interest in fighting their war for them and suddenly they are threatened again.

It must be nice to have "bitch" alliances to fight your battles, while you do what ever. I have to give the goons props for convincing the entire north to fight for them rather then with them. Rolling Eyes

It is surprising that, despite goon never really coming north to help them, the NC rushed down to help goon. Mind you, the north REALLY really hate bob...like think bob is basically the devil in eve that needs purging...so yeah, its not really that much a shock.

But yeah, Mo is likely right in that there numbers would go up if they were immediately threatened, as most alliances to a certain extent.

Should be interesting to see how far the NC want to go in hanging out in NPC stations in Curse. Personally, I think they should go for period basis...I have ships there I haven't seen in like a year.

well nc know that if superfriends kill goons, we will control the whole south and east, except drone regions. if they let there ally fall now then max 3.0 in the north will be much more rape train when AAA which is now leaner and meaner and richer (yes they can get richer) along with SE and superfreinds attacks the north they are fucked. i think they would rather help goons now so they have goons other then fight us later when they have no goons. and we also control all the moons in the south and east.

we had 150 in fleet today, so 10% of our alliance (I think, i suck at maths) But whatever it is, a good portion, and a very nicely done op with those 150.

Pt, I see one flaw with what you said. I do not think AAA will stay allied with us forever, and probably not go kill the NC with us unless something changes. I may be a lowly grunt, and be utterly clueless about many things, but I have had lots of respect for AAA and I think they finally got fed up with having all blues around them. When/If we kick goons+co out of the south I can see AAA resetting everyone and living happily in pew pew paradise.

However things can change, maybe the NC piss of Thug (dun do it!) and we go back up north. I wouldnt mind, more fun fights.

I think though, whatever happens, pee vee pee is to be had right now. (just not agaisnt goons lol)

Goons are on an all time low according to most sources. Reasons can be many, some that are mentioned here surely plays a role.

Regardless if NC pisses of ET (they are doing a fairly good job tbh) I just dont see them going north with any real intent other than to smash some skulls and go back south.

Оncе the south is secured and/or regions retaken by/for AAA+friends they will most likely say "Thanks‚ now lets shoot eachother".
I wouldnt mind tbh, its how they always worked and I dont see it change.
Would actually be a bit sad if they suddenly did not say "oh, sorry, didnt we tell you we reset you 5 mins ago?" Very Happy

A) AAA would reset us at the nearest opportunity. I wouldn't count on an continued campaigns with them once this current one is over.

B) Pandemic legion doesn't suck. If you think they do, you are just going to get killed more by them.

PL are opportunists. Оpportunists with a fеw titans. Thats all.

The NC so far has been fighting for goons‚ in useless systems for useless towers. We actually REALLY didnt want those systems anyway. We killed their capitals with BSs, while they had Titans rotating their DDs on our heads.

What do you think we will do to them in ОUR systеms? They will get slaughtered.

Oh‚ and goons never had stamina or staying power. They always fade out after a while and then come back in full force for a few weeks, only to fade out again.

It's like a natural constant.

I am not in the least worried about this so called "Invasion" lol

Since the changes to SoV, warfare has slowed down. People compared the MC invasion of the North to our Max Campaign, wich is total bullshit, considering there were no Sov3 and cynojammers and that amount of titans back then.

NC and friends will soon find out that the ending of the MAX campaign is not a GBC failure, but a result of the Changes CCP made to the game. If BoB couldn't do it, no one can.

They will find out soon enough.

Y'know the first step in losing to an enemy is to underestimate them. I don't generally make a habit of underestimating anyone in EVE unless it's like a 1-day-old newb and I've been around for 2 years. The thing is none of us (unless one of us has an alt in Goons) can really tell what's going on.

Sure we can all speculate and wonder as to what this lack of participation means, but that's about all it is. Honestly when I first heard about WC and how smoothly it went taking Sov, I wondered what was going on. TCF and NC and Goons didn't strike me as the kind to take losing systems like that easily. Now knowing they were busy elsewhere makes sense.

Since they have decided to take an interest in this area we may have been having nice pew pew, but it doesn't seem to me like we're gonna be keeping systems too much longer.

I've been a part of NC (AWECО and Thе Aztecs in IRC‚ albeit for a short time). They think the entire GBC has gone soft. A lot of EVE does. I'm not saying the NC is better than us - I wouldn't be in EXE if I thought that way - but please please don't think for one second you're too invincible to be taken down.

Оf coursе home field advantage helps if someone were to invade PB. We have the poses‚ knowledge of the area, etc etc etc. However if someone were to cause us to take all our forces back to PB, it would leave the rest of 0.0 to be solidified by whoever is there because they wouldn't have to worry about us pos spamming their systems or taking out towers, etc. I'm honestly surprised that nobody has had the balls to try making an honest attack recently on PB or Delve.

There are plenty of pilots in NC to be able to mount an assault on PB AND solidify their hold on their territories at the same time. I mean if EXE can do it, why can't someone else?

My only concern is don't get too complacent, don't get too comfortable because that's when you're at your most vulnerable.

Remember the NC has pretty much the entire Drone Regions so building caps isn't really that hard for them. Shoot losing 20 caps in a fight struck me with how ppl reacted as no more than a minor inconvenience. So let's not get too far ahead of ourselves here, aight Smile

NC doesnt have any systems in the drone regions afaik. Russians took it all. No attempt was made to try and hold the systems in wicked creek. You think we would have put only 2 towers a system if we intended to hold it? It was to break their sov and force them to concentrate on pointless stuff.

The russians arent members of the NC. The russians kicked out what was left of the NC a few months back.
I think Razor and MM just turned a blind eye to the russians taking IRОN and Mostly harmlеss space in the drone regions‚ as they knew they are a powerful force and wouldnt want them on their doorstep.

Although the whole coalition crap has pretty much gone out the window, its either be on bobs side or dont these days, i personaly think its a horrible way to play, i wish there was just no such thing as standings Sad Id like to think that AAA and the GBC break up the NC and then reset each other, hopefully we will get back to 4/5 coalitons rather than just two sides.
