Why would navy vexors last any longer than rax's? I can't say i'm a huge navy vexor fan. 2 ishtars and some frigs would be better imo. but at the same time i do like this setup. it could do with some damps but is otherwise rather nice.
Also for armour links how many would you run? The passive defence and mindlink are superb ofc but are you going to run active armour tanks on many of the ships? might be better going for a claymore in this slot with the full skirmish mods. both -sig and +tackle would be pretty useful. this ofc is if you can magic up a claymore fit that actually makes the ship useful.
If the navy vexors can run damps/tracking distruptors then i think this could work well. my main concern with this would be that eccm'd battleships would resist the first rook cycles and instapop the rooks leading to upsettingly rapid cascade.
As far as the range issue goes i do (this hurts me in my heart) kinda agree with gobbins that if the enemy is ranged hacs etc they will split and you will have trouble. while the base setup is definitly nice i'm not so sure about the actual ship choices‚ if you go with navy vexorѕ and еos's that have to chase the opponents they will die fast and hard and at the same time if they drop sentrys they will badly lose a dps race against ishtars etc. This may work but i'd prefer:
Rail Eos 1: IWAR links
Claymore: Skirmish links
Hurricane: armour/sheild link
2x rook
3x phantasm
The phantasms can hit from range will full‚ and quite pleaѕing, dps whilе the vexors suffer more from potentially having the chase a splitup enemy around the map.
I would like to try shamis's setup anyway but i don't think the vexors are the best choice for this tourney. I may ofc be wrong so better to prove this on the field
