Cross posting from a mail I sent Sacul but I thought I would share this with the other directors. I am not trying to point the finger at anyone specific but one of these people passed intel to PL. If you are able to correlate this information with any other incidents it might help.

This morning I mentioned in corp chat that I was moving an itty 5 and that I was cloaked due to some PL in local in 1-3 trying to get into A-S. Note: the itty was never in system with a PL guy so the only way they would know what my other character was in was from leaked intel.

Then I see this in 1-3 local

The only people in corp chat at the time were (I have a screenshot of who was on). I have included everyone who was on regardless of their position in corp and indicated who was active and on TS and what I was aware they were doing.

Оnе of these is a spy....

BUBBA GUM - active and on ts with me. I may have mentioned what I was doing on TS.

First:
Thanks for a well done report. Far better then "omg there's a spy". This post gave info on what you base it on and who it could possibly be without wieghing in any personal feelings about people.

Second:
Just to make it 100% certain. Are you sure no one apart from those was on TS in same channel as you? Is it possible someone saw you in the Itty 5 earlier and had notes on who was spotted in what ship and where or had every system you've been in before been empty since you undocked it?

Third:
Who's responsible for kicking a spy? I'd say if it's a confirmed spy with undisputable evidence then the first director who has knowledge about it should remove the roles of said spy‚ then just as a precaution to avoid mistakes that director should convo the next director he see online and ask him to look over the evidence and see if he agree it's a sure thing. Then whoever is online when the 24h timer for roles is up should boot the spy asap. If there's no roles from the beginning and you are 100% sure it's a spy, then do it at once, no mercy.

If you're on the other hand not 100% certain, just have strong suspicions, bring it up with the master inquisitor (Nathul) or Sacul. If neither of them is available then try to get 2 other directors in a convo and discuss it together. If you agree it's justified then kick the person out.

Note: The third part is not an official corp policy but it's how I would have handled it and I think it's a good way to do it.

hmm hard one and none of those match with who i have in mind. It is very hard to pinpoint any specific person byt RyMcqueen‚ Plasmatique and Sooshie are my most likely suspects.

I can categorically say the only way the PL guy could have known my alt in DEAD was in an itty 5 was from TS or corp chat. I was very careful to make sure that it was not seen as I was in a cov ops 1 system ahead at all times and did not jump in unless it was empty. It was also my first run so the chances of them seeing me without knowledge are very small.

Basically the situation was:
1. I had the itty held cloaked in 1-3 and moved my cov ops into a-s. No-one else was in 1-3.
2. I jumped my cov ops into a-s saw there were reds on the gate.
3. It was about this time I mentioned what I was doing in corp chat and possibly on TS. The only one in channel on TS was BUBBA but i dont think it would have been him. The others were in different channels. I had some people say in corp say safe up etc. By this time I warped the itty 5 to a planet and cloaked.
4. A few minutes later the PL guy comes into 1-3 local and makes the comment.

Now I know this is not 100% proof and I am not directly accusing anyone mentioned in my op. There is a remote possibility my itty was spotted at an earlier point but it seems unlikely.

I thought it would be useful info to share to see if could corroborate anyones suspicions.

Im thinking this because they didnt know about his scout in a covops they got wind of an itty moving formed up on a gate in his likely direction got seen went sniffing for the itty didnt find it so they shitted up local.

I believe he has more alts‚ not sure atm.

This person is somewhat of a special case in many regards.

A few things we know about him:

1. He is very very rich in game.
2. He says he has 'a few' chars but that is relative. When a person says a few it can be 2 but also erwin style 10.
3. He is highly active and wants to be part of the leadership.
4. He knows allot of people in eve and i dare say he is better connected than i am.
5. He has a brain tumor and is undergoing chemical and nucleair therapy for that.

I was first alarmed by him because of a story he told me/us.
It was about his brother who also plays eve and he says they tend to stay on the opposite sides of the map in game.
The story (well actually a few stories) was about a mothership theft and about how his brother was involved. Now this story at the time wasnt very well known but i immeadiatly recognized it as the GHSC (Guilding hand social club) Jim Lovell motherships (yes 2) heist
(later it was fully made public by Thyrakx Thork who made himself known as a GHCS director. 2 years of scheming and planning to get IAC big and then stealing the wallet, the alliance production facility, rare imperial apocs etc and 2 motherships....dedication djeez).

Another story was about how his brother was very wel connected with AAA leadership and a few things he said led me once again to the evil thug-GHCS connection.

Its hard to speculate if maybe his brother is Istvaan or Thyrakx but it doesnt really matter i think there might be a GHSC link with his brother and that alone is enough to never make him a director.

The other thing that doesnt really add up to me is his brain tumour and the way he deals with that. Sure if a person is sick long enoug it becomes a part of his life and he doesnt see it as bad as us 'healty' people.
What troubles me is that he goes to therapy 'putting his head in the microwave' as he laughinly calls it and 1 hour later he is back at his desk hapilly playing again as if nothing happened. He also seems to have seizures in fleet battles because of the gfx but they seem to be a bit selective.

I know i am being highly paranoid here and offcourse i can be completely wrong and burn in hell for eternity over it but it just smells of social engineering and it makes a perfect cover for just about anything he does.

I want us to keep a very close eye on him.

Nat if you read this can you please check all the ships that you gave him got moved to a-s or at least make a note of types and names you can remember, so if any do turn out to be missing (if you haven't already).

I wouldn't make him a director in a million years, he was talking about how his 'brother' had stolen 2 MS and has 115billion isk or summat, and how he nicked a couple bill to pimp out his carrier. What was more interesting was that he thought it was totally ОK to stеal the MS cos its worth 20bill.

Keep a close eye on this one‚ though wouldn't kick him unless he actually steps out of line his contacts may come in handy you never know.

This‚ as those of us who know about the shady people in Eve knows, is the key to any successfull scam.

I agree that we should keep a close eye on him and not for any reason whatsoever make him a director or give him access to valuable corp assets. As open as he has been about his history of scamming and thefts and involvment in other peoples acts of that kind I'm a bit surprised that he was accepted into corp and on top of that, managed to pass the trial. With that said, since we have accepted him into the corp I don't think we should kick him out just because of those things since we have known about it and still let him in with us.

What we should do are three things. Watch him closely. Don't let him handle valuable assets or intel. Ask him to not speak about those thefts and scams with others since it could give an impression that we think it's acceptable as long as it doesn't hurt us.

I'll shake some trees and see if any info about him falls down from them.

Almost forgot, that part about his alleged brain tumor. It can be true, it can be part of his "coverstory" but we will probably never know. All I can say about that is that people handle their health issues in very different ways. Some get devastated and go into a deep depression, others try to live as normal as possible and yet others go to extremes to try and experience as much as they can before their time is up. There's no way to tell from how someone act on TS or on the internet if they're sick or not.

I've got a short story to enlighten that fact. Before I started playing Eve, I played a game called Americas Army. For those of you who doesn't know what it is, it's an FPS game that could maybe be described as a more thought out version of CS. Оnе of the guys in my old clan was extremely good at the game and always one of the happiest and nicest persons on ventrilo. When one of the other guys told me about his situation I first couldn't believe it because "people like that can't play AA‚ at least not with anything above mediocre results and don't come tell me he wouldn't have whined even once about his situation?". The player in question had been in an accident and was paralyzed from the hips and down, on top of that he had lost one arm. He was playing a fast paced FPS with only one arm and was more effective then most of us even though he did everything with only the mouse while the rest of us had one hand on the mouse and the other on the keyboard.

Morale of the story? Unless you know them in the real world, you can't tell for sure who or how a person is based on your experience of them in a game. You can make a guess and you can have a feeling. Оftеn it's correct‚ but you can never know for sure.

Sooshie has at least given his limited API key‚ which doesn't so anything that odd for his char.

Could perhaps ask for full API key, which would reveal his wallet journal, and most likely some his other mains/alts. Most likely will feel sensitive about such suggestion, like quite many of our members would.

Оn thе medical side as you said Sacul you healthy people think things are like the worst thing ever but when you actually have something wrong most of time it does become part of normal but having had heart biopsies and a whole range of things like MRIs.. not to mention the needles I have to stick in my veins every 2 weeks and daily meds. But a Brain Tumour!! I know how long it takes to visit hospital and actually get treated and back again.. They always what to see you and ask questions etc and if they are trying shrink the tumour they will want to measure it.. i.e. scans all adding up to more than an hour. Not having spoken to him I don't know what he actually has done but I get the sense that from what you've said here is bullshit.

Then dungar will tell it in the Goon TS lobby and voila.
