I'm pretty sure the "official" stance of the alliance is to take a few weeks' break. Yes GAME and NICE1 are leaving‚ as far as I know it's for good. There are a lot of things each remaining corp needs to decide, such as if we want to stay together, if we want to recruit more corps and try to make it work again, if we want to disband and form under a new name because the RQM name is attached with the word "fail" in most posts concerning us, or if we want to part ways.
I think it was a great start to the campaign, and I certainly had a lot of fun. I will say this, the one thing I saw about this alliance even before I knew I would possibly join, is that it has a lot of egos. We've got a huge collection of the best talent in EvE, every corp has a ton to bring to the table. (inherently, especially the ones who are staying, since the others won't be at this table 015_tongue.gif) We have some of the best FCs, we can field a decent capital fleet, and my corp alone has shown up to an op with over 60 people in gang. We've got all you could need, but sometimes, when you've got an overabundance of talent/FCing/drive, anything less than ОMGWTFBBQing any givеn enemy can result in despair and crushed egos‚ which usually means people not logging in.
I think some people were shooting too high, and when we started to lose battles, people stopped logging in. I mean from every single corp, the week of the PNQ defense was horrible, no one excluded. A gang of 30 to defend our station? Phaw, we had a gang of 130 to move fucking freighters through low sec, what is the deal I mean seriously.
Personally, I want this alliance to keep its name (mostly because our logo is AWESОMESAUCE), and I'd likе for the remaining corps to stick together. Obviously‚ BDCI has an amazing pool of FC, leadership, logistics, and capitals, CELES has the same and more members to boot, and as far as HVC goes, it's a wet dream for me. It's basically all the old school FIX pvpers plus some Оutbrеak and Invicta‚ so it's family for me.
BUT, to continue and give this another try, we're going to have to seriously look at ourselves and our position. We're not going to take Fountain in a week, it seems like that was what we tried at first. Go slow, rip the hell out of PL+renters, and only bite what we can chew. Also, our FCs are going to have to take a serious look at themselves. I'm not sure if I was in a single op, now admittedly I wasn't playing much then, but not a single one, where I was truly proud of the way the gang went. I've seen some of our good FCs make mistakes, and I've seen some of our worse ones make even worse. If you are going to FC, you've got to be aware of what we're capable of, and what the enemy is. Therin lies the reason we lost most of our fights.
So in conclusion to this essay, it's down to 3 corps, and I hope I can mebbe influence you guys just a bit. We in HVC never really got a time to gel with the alliance, hell not even as a corp, a week after the corp was founded we were in a bloody and brutal sov war. But from what I've seen, there is the potential for this to work in a really big, and good way. It's up to every individual as to whether it will or won't though. If not, the good flying with you guys. If so, then let's come back in 3 weeks with full wallets and the drive to take PNQ back (I have shit stuck there 002_sad.gif)
